Cargo Mail: Suggestions & To-Do #21

If you've not noticed, cargo gets mail. Mail is generated every 5 minutes, at least 1 piece, up to 5% the total crew. This may not seem like a lot but it does pile up fast if it's any more than that. Mail comes in via the CentCom Supply Shuttle (which now travels in 10s instead of 60s). Mail contains a variety of goodies depending on your job, though every job can receive cash.

If you have suggestions for what these envelopes can contain, please let me know. I'd also like to have mail for special roles (i.e. deliver mail to the space pirates, ash lizards, or even Legion) down the road.

Crew wages should be wired directly to their accounts. Mail should be used exclusively for items (preferably in the form of parcels), sending wages through mail is superfluous and excessive shit.

@MilkmansWife8291 The cash is a bonus, not their actual wage. I would like other things to be sent through the main besides cash, that's the suggestion I am asking for.

Strange, I played through whole shifts without opening mail and my money never went up. Mail arrives too frequently IMO and every department ends up getting massive item stacks that make it bothersome to pick out just your own mail. I'd suggest a mail box machine instead of the spammy mail chutes, one that the player can click and immediately get their own mail.

@MilkmansWife8291 The lack of income is a result of /tg/ upstream economy changes that nobody understands.
