I didnt put it under a special license, you can use it as you like.

If there's no license, no-one has any rights to use the software at all :(

https://choosealicense.com/ is a good resource to help you pick a license that suits your needs. (or just use MIT!)

If you want to let people use it as they want use zlib/libpng - they then just need to keep your name in it.

@GWRon ok, thx, well the only thing I dont want is that people use it in paid software. Which license would meet this requirement? I think GNU GPLv3 will fit.

You can use gpl in commercial software too... Licences mostly are there to regulate owner naming and "openess" of sources.

Assume others have different options about it as licencing is a discussion beast :-)
