Thanks for raising an issue. The problem might be that there is another python library called aruco. I have a file of the same name in my repository. So when you import aruco, it might import the external library instead of my local file. I changed the file name to prevent this now (try cloning or pulling the repo again).
Does this solve the problem? If not, can you tell me more about how you tried to run the repo? Did you create a virtual env with Conda etc.?
I think my real problem is beneath pip layer...I can only see OpenCV 4.1.1 still. It's a Win 7 HP ZBook G17 - don't want the Win upgrade.Newer modules: arUco, ogre, dnn are in 4.3 I think. I pushing very hard on arUco for a sports use case... Check it out.I'd be happy to forward some test video(4x4 0-100).Bring some more attention to glyphs. https://youtu.be/wCf75xmaBbg I think your code is fine, my env is bent.Let me know. send a share link I can boost video. Cheers,John Viguerie.

Apologies for the late response. Regarding your environment, you can try installing anaconda for windows7. That might help you install the exact OpenCV version to use this repository's code.
I checked out the video you shared. Seems like a pretty cool application!!
