Related to #205.

In #208, I included very minor changes I identified during a read-through. As discussed, I've gone back through more carefully to spot check references.

I've also done the following:

• Added TODOs to figure legends that haven't been addressed yet.
• Added some TODOs around references we may want to remove, revise, or add.
