hydra 8.1 cygwin hacks my pc #1

when using -x 5:8:A1 type of command on an attack on my IP camera 192.168.0.2 for example, using a single username admin, after running a few attempts approx. 20 the display stops updating - my processor is running balastic, using task manager reveals an attack on ALL OF MY PC SERVICES /processes-- Whats that all about ? had to shut my pc down - so is Hydra trying to steal all my pc's password info ?

also noticed when I just runn hydra - all my processes in my pc are scanned- also noticed that when I use -l for login and a 184 meg password list hydra stops the attack after only 20 tries..not what its supposed to do. I just need to find a password crack tool that works via windows pc and Ethernet to network devices (ie cctv cameras) installed by 3rd party company. Any help appreciated for either hydra- mine not working as it should - or
