I would like to be removed as a lead for this project, but I don't know how that's done. I haven't worked with Django or django-model-utils for quite a few years now, and wouldn't even feel competent to evaluate the state of this project (let alone having any idea how to make a release.)

Also, I'm all in for making you lead and replace Carl if he no longer wants to be involved. It's just not something I'm allowed to do myself.

It looks like it happened through @jezdez at the time https://github.com/jazzband/help/issues/151. I'd file a request over there and link to this issue thread.
