I'm closing this PR as it has been ignored for a long time and we're dropping support for python < 3.5. Our fork continues to be used at https://github.com/Ultimaker/jsonmodels

parts of your PR (I'd like to use) are moved to #152 and #153. Other (like Dockerfiles and gitlab config) I'd like to skip, as they don't really fit
