This PR updates the dependencies and adds looping. It also adds files needed for development on NixOS, and commits a Cargo.lock since it helps with reproducibility and is needed for the NixOS dev env to work.
The last 2 commits are cleanup commits, so should use squash while merging it :sweat_smile:
