This requires a lot of changes to the renderer for outputing multiple pages, we originally dropped this for the mvp because it blew us very out of scope. Is there a way we could achieve the same end user experience using single-page design patterns? (e.g. expandable bio, kind of like the "Read More" on many news sites, or do something similar to the lightbox where you get a popup scrollable view of the full bio)
We also need to address bios in multiple languages, the table at http://www.jazzhistorydatabase.com/archives/joris-teepe/ is really nice. Perhaps we could address both of these use cases in one go?
that collection is a bad example where it is different content in the dutch area. I had Kam redo this collection and this is much better, but not good formatting overall still to use as an example. I would still use a tab switcher but have an actual translation ..
I can't read dutch so I was looking strictly at the table structure 😁 - I just assumed it was an indirect translation.
We really need to have a sub page with full bio ability, if not right now then over the course of the next couple of months would be great. Some if not most bios are too long and affect usability, and to see and find the content below
Need an option to create a formal sub page for the bio if too long.
add a check box on the edit page to enable, where a summary is on the home page (character limit) and the full bio is on the sub page.
this changes how the main menu is built and functions. where if it's a single page format with id links in the menu to scroll down in the same page, maybe the easiest thing is to add a drop down to the menu item (bio) called 'full biography' and then add index references to the menu items from the sub page so it goes back and then down.
