I wonder if #453 would justify preparing a release. Anyway, in case you agree, here is a PR implementing it.

@christf I can plan a release this week(it needs some work such as making the release note and deploy the releases to Maven repo, etc), maybe tomorrow if I have no other urgent tasks.

The version 2.2.1.Final has been released: https://github.com/jberet/jsr352/releases/tag/2.2.1.Final

And it has been uploaded to JBoss Maven repo which should be synced to Central Maven repo soon.
