When editing a page nothing stops me from navigating away and loosing the changes

I visited the Syntax page, clicked on 'edit this page', made some changes, then clicked on 'About Galileo'. My changes were lost without any warning.

I think the system at least should ask me if I really want to navigate away and loose the changes.

This is indeed a worthy feature. I hope I will have some time to look at it, though I have just started a new job and that is rare indeed!
