Hello,
Not sure if there's a solution for this. Maybe tweaking the backup log to tell the App "skip everything before today"?
To be honest, I never used the Restore feature as once my data is backup in Gmail, I simply clear the data from my device, and I ever need to get back to it, I simply search withing Gmail.
There is an option to skip existing when you press backup after first installing the app, but for me that causes the app to crash. So, I'm in the same boat as you unfortunately.
I have been using the SMS Backup+ app on my Android phone for years now, and it has stored over 100,000 SMS and call logs in my Gmail account. I purchased a new phone, I installed SMS Backup+ on it and configured it with my app password to restore my SMS and call logs. However, the process is taking a lot of time to restore those 100,000+ SMSs and Call Logs on my new phone.
Therefore, I used Superbackup to export my SMS and call logs from my old phone and then quickly imported them into my new phone. Now, all my previous messages and call logs are present on my new phone.
Now, on my new phone I want to configure and automate SMS Backup+ to only back up all the new SMS and call logs to my same Gmail account (because all the previous SMSs and call logs already present there)
When I choose Maximum items per backup to 100, in the staus it shows 👉 https://i.imgur.com/bMcSJdH.jpg
Can anyone please guide me on how to do this?
