Subtitles not detected in MKV or MP4 files #263

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a film in a container that supports subtitles
2. Ember doesn't know that it has subtitles.
3. Profit?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I understand that baked in subs would not be detected, but can the mkv or
mp4 be read enough to determine if subs are available?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
xp and win7 r1069

Please provide any additional information below.
Nice to have this project being worked on again. Its the best media
manager I've tried.

Ember is only to detect files accompanying the media files in the movie list.
They can check in Metadata though, when you click on a movie. That kind of info
won't
be listed in the movie list.

Well I thought I would mention it since I've been repacking all my files into
mkv's and bundling in the subtitles, and multiple audio tracks.

Since ember detects the subtitle streams for meta data, it seemed like it ought
to let
the user know that there are subs. (I just hate those unchecked boxes^_^).

ok, I just searched (maybe I should do that first eh?) And this seems to have
been a
question/issue a few times. How about the option of turning off a column of
information? Like not having the subtitles, or trailers boxes show at all.

There are already options on what columns to display. ;)

Oh, but they still show up as missing items. (filter check box)
