Formatting of a comment containing an asterisk ends at the asterisk #27

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a template with a comment like this: 

  {* comment formatting up to this asterisk: *, no formatting after *} 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All text between {* and *} should be green, but the text after the asterisk
is  formatted as if not commented out. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
smartypdt rev 73, eclipse 3.3.1.1, vista

Please provide any additional information below.
