After installing the JBoss Tools, all .properties files are opened by default with the generic text editor.
The configuration of another default editor via "context menu -> Open With -> Other" is not saved, i.e. after the properties file has been closed, it is opened again with the generic text editor by double-clicking.
This is quite annoying because it requires many more mouse clicks.
Maybe this is an eclipse issue with Open With -> Other + "Default" afterall :(
