Seems there is an incompatibility with Subaquatic and the RPG Hud mod (found here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/rpg-hud). It will crash on startup. Turning Subaquatic's config for handling oxygen repleneshment off allows launching the game and entering worlds, but will still crash when switching to survival mode (which activates the rendering of RPG Hud).
