Dragging Zoom #29

Hi, I was wondering if is possible to add to JBrowse the Drag and ZOOM functionality.

For example in genome-browser (1.x) is possible to drag the mouse in the Details panel, when the user have selected a region, a pop-up give you the chance to zoom the browser in the selected region.

This improvement will increase greatly the usability of the browser....

Ticket #21 is more-or-less this. So yeah, it’s already on the to-do list.

I second this idea and I accidentally duplicated this feature request in #59 (see there for additional comments). I don’t know if the pop-up would be useful, but zooming to that location automatically would most certainly be awesome. That’s how the UCSC Browser does it.
