0.8.4 Incompatable with FF 3.5.3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Try to install the .xpi file on a FF 3.5.3 client that is not facing the
internet, using any file:// method.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected:  Installation of httpfox.  Result:  Error box stating that .0.8.4
is not compatible with FF 3.5.3.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.8.4  on Solaris 10

Please provide any additional information below.

Server is on an internal network, and does not face outside, so I can not
use the usual add-ons/get add-ons method, and am forced to install by
opening the browser and then using the URL file:// and then clicking on the
.xpi file.

The exact error message is HttpFox 0.8.4 could not be installed because it is 
not
compatible with Firefox 3.6.3.
