Tapatalk Setup Reporting 500 Error on Server #11

Open colbydnn opened 9 years ago

colbydnn commented 9 years ago

I am trying to use the AF Tapatalk module, and I am having trouble getting it to work from the Tapatalk side of things.

I have everything set up (it's slightly different that in the instructions, however I figured it out), and I am getting an error form the Tapatalk end. The details are:

Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error)

Not a lot of details on that...

Any ideas where to start looking? I'm going to start digging a bit.

Did you install the handler and make sure it was enabled? How about the folder? Were you able to find the right folder to put into tapatalk account?

What about the directions do you feel wasn't exact? Just trying to figure out where to start.

What URL do you have listed on tapatalk.com? You can omit the actual domain name if you want.

Seth,

Thanks for the very quick response. It was user/keyboard error. I was so excited to get it configured, that i failed to save the forum settings, leaving them open when I went to Tapatalk to input the information. When it tried to connect, the site went into an internal error and I had to recycle the App Pool. When it came back, I changed the module settings, saved them and then the Tapatalk retried and worked great.

The differences in the instructions on the Tapatalk site is that they have simplified the configuration. You don't click on the Activate link and you no longer have to click on the forum type. also, the Forum Directory field was not there the first time, it came up after the test originally failed and had the default name in it.

Good deal. We will update the documentation with the new plugin.
