troubleshoot three failed receivers #175

from L. Berrigan:

[ ] SG-1616BBBK1956 – West Quoddy Gnome turns on normally (lights), can access root, data folders, but not web page. Has not been collecting since Nov 11
[ ] SG-4002BBBK0580 – Lawrencetown Power light is on, but nothing else happens. Cannot access anything on Gnome
- [ ] SG-4002BBBK1530(https://sgdata.motus.org/status?serno=SG-4002BBBK1530) - Prospect Gnome was powered from outdoor plug via 3 heavy duty extension cords that were not waterproof.
  Short circuit caused fire/melted plugs at one junction. Home owner unplugged it from the house (thankfully!).
Turns on at first, power and data lights blinking, but then completely shuts off after a few seconds.

Data has not been downloaded from it yet.

SG-1616BBBK1956 – West Quoddy: /usr/local/bin/node segfaults upon starting, and binary is corrupt:

$ ls -al /usr/local/bin/node
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5886068 May 22  2013 /usr/local/bin/node
$ md5sum /usr/local/bin/node
49f3ebcd7ccf7fe27a9978ee56ba7c1f  /usr/local/bin/node

while the image on discovery has:

cd sensorgnome_dev_image_2016-09-13_09-04-57/root
$ cd usr/local/bin/
$ md5sum node 
3e163fa26724d0fa2d4df56cd9f4b111  node
$ ll node
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5886068 May 22  2013 node

Will attempt to re-image this unit with 2017-03-06 version.

SG-4002BBBK0580 – Lawrencetown

SD card failed, and flash image apparently corrupt.

try recover lost data from SD card (post 2017-11-11)
re-image with 2017-03-06 release; FAILED: micro SD card not working,
image in flash memory is corrupt (ends in kernel panic after a few minutes of running) and unit fails to boot from SD card (several tried).

Writing off this unit.
