Irregular size in elementary and gtk4 applications #90

Open CRAG666 opened 2 years ago

@jbuchermn Yesterday I installed my favorite elementary applications, everything works fine except the size when opening the application I leave below the capture of how they look in contrast to applications that open normally (I already tried with whole and fragmented scales):

Which apps are that? Does this persist if you scale them to 2x1 tiles or move to fullscreen?

CRAG666 commented 2 years ago

happens in all cases

CRAG666 commented 2 years ago

@jbuchermn the apps are notejot and metadata cleaner

jbuchermn commented 2 years ago

Hmm I can't reproduce - just tested with notejot.

Something like this can (and should happen) if windows report a big minimum size - in this case the window is scaled down to preserve aspect ratio resulting in these screenshots.

Maybe I'll find some time next week to look into it

CRAG666 commented 2 years ago

everything looks normal, only the size is the error

CRAG666 commented 2 years ago

I just noticed something else, it only happens with my second monitor, on the main one everything works fine... It's quite strange

jbuchermn commented 2 years ago

I'm not sure what this is about, maybe the apps take some erroneous value from the wrong output

CRAG666 commented 2 years ago

@jbuchermn It is very possible, for now I will close this, since it only happens with few applications, I hope it can be solved

jbuchermn commented 2 years ago

It's interesting, this might as well be a bug. Let's leave it open and see if other people can reproduce

Ok, thanks

Error with amberol imagen

CRAG666 commented 1 year ago

@jbuchermn In the capture I only use a monitor, do not change the size of any window, however Amberol does not occupy the size you should use
