I have been using a combination of CustomScan and CustomSkip to identify
album bonus tracks and skip over them. I have a custom BONUS tag on the
tracks I want to skip and have a CustomSkip filter that automatically skips
over them. However, the bonus tracks are almost always at the end of the
album, and I have an issue with the SqueezeBox restarting back at the
beginning of the album and playing through again after skipping the bonus
tracks. I'll put this more in depth:
From the Browse interface, I select an album with 12 tracks. The last two
tracks are bonus tracks, and per my filter I only want the first ten to
play and the other two to be skipped.
The Now Playing playlist is populating with all twelve tracks and the first
begins to play.
The SqueezeBox plays the album tracks 1-10 and then does not play the 10th
and 11th tracks.
After skipping the bonus tracks, the Now Playing playlist is then changed
to only include the ten tracks at were played, and the SqueezeBox begins
playing the album again, starting with the first track. The SqueezeBox is
set to never repeat, so I don't believe this is the problem. I did
double-check and try again with the same album.
So, what I'm seeing is that the tracks I don't want to be played are not
being played, which is good, but the tracks I do want to be played are
being played once, and then starting over again at the first and playing
again, which seems like a bug.
Thanks for implementing the ability to skip tracks based on a custom tag. I
was the one who originally raised that feature request, so that's really
cool. I just finally got around to implementing it and I ran into this
behavior, though.
