I flashed a D1 mini with ESPHome. I use this to control the servo and have it integrated with Home Assistant. The ESPHome configuration looks like this.

I then have an automation in Home Assistant to operate the servo based on the alarm status. It opens the privacy cover when armed and closes the privacy cover when disarmed.
