I know some of this stuff is difficult to code in some aspects, but honestly you can find many examples of this already implemented into other games, so you could just do a little copy-paste and have it quicker than trying to do it yourself.

Hi! I started this project when I was a sophomore in high school, when I should have been studying for finals instead. I added a few features quickly after - like a track editor, and VR support (which has unfortunately been broken). Since then, I've made sure to keep the servers alive, because I know some people still play this game and have fun with it!
I plan to keep this game alive and functional for the foreseeable future, but I don't plan to add new features, or change it from the way it was in 2017. This game was always intended to be a small project, it was really just a silly game for me to play with my friends during class. It represents a fixed point in time, and changing the game would change what it represents to me.
I still make games, and sometimes I work on racing video games (they're still my favorite!), if I ever make a game that could be a "spiritual successor" to this game, I'll add a big banner to the Online Racing Game website and link to it :) This might happen in a month, a few years, or never!
If you want to modify this game, or make a game similar to it, I used Github Pages for free hosting and domains, Three.js for graphics (it can do a lot more than games like this), and Google Firebase Realtime Database for free multiplayer servers. This game costs $0 to make, $0 to run, and I've made $0 from it.
If you want to try other small games I've made, you can try these out:
Sorry, this probably wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but maybe it's better than no answer at all?
Hey man, thanks for the response, now I know I kinda forgot to respond maybe 6 months ago but hey, better than none right? But straightforward; you are awesome, and thanks for the reply, honestly I get where you came from, so I honor your words. Thanks for the great fun I have had at school, and not only did I play it at achool with my friends, I used it to run some fun little racing events on my discord server. So thanks for your contribution and thanks for the fun you’ve given me. I hope you have fun doing whatever you do for a living now.
Thanks, -Hitman2074

If you want to try other small games I've made, you can try these out:
- https://jchabin.github.io/asteroids/ - Local multiplayer asteroids-esque game, made to test out mobile UIs and whether using phones as controllers makes any sense at all.
- https://jchabin.github.io/lizards/ - Tiny top-down shooter game to experiment with procedural animation.
- https://jchabin.github.io/webglshooter/ - Project I made for a class, just a very simple online shooter. This game is written with direct WebGL calls, instead of Three.js.
- https://jchabin.github.io/chess/ - Needlessly complicated "chess" game.

I understand coding quite well, and if I had the time I would do it myself, but I enjoy your game a lot and was wondering how difficult it would be for you to add some sort of an update to the game, not any big major things, but some small things that make it easier for your users to enjoy the game more. Some ideas I had: Map Size Customization, anything simple like a Halve and a Double Size button would be effecient. Customizable modes, would be pretty easy to code and add, but you could include a timer and add game modes, like Tag and Hide & Seek. Where you just have to code a simple remove player mechanic that could deactivate a players controls or such. possibly a customizable editor, instead of having all this new stuff made, just make an editor that allows the players to edit already made things, like adding a custom build ability. There is much more that I would talk about, but I don't know whether or not you would actually read this.
