Hi, I'd like give you a suggestion. This is a good project because you are concerned about other *nix, but licensing under GPLv3 ends all chances to be imported in FreeBSD if developers realize the need for it. FreeBSD devs are avoiding any GPL code in base because because GPL code cannot be used in BSD code they make. Thanks for read me.

Hi TheDharc,

I'm open to dual-licensing under GPLv3 and the ISC license (or MIT or BSD). I just don't know the correct legal way to phrase it. Any ideas/tips?

I prefer Apache, but for sure BSD is better for a possible inclusion in a BSD system. Thanks for the answer. Try to announce your project to FreeBSD guys, see what they think about, they have devd but maybe they are interested to use some codes for udev compatibility.

I'll dual-license each release as GPLv3+ and ISC. There will be one tarball for each; users can pick the one with the license they want.
