FYI TI released the next version 2.02.02.25. I have done the necessary changes to the script, but in a slightly different context (in the context of a package for Arch Linux). But, it's just bash, and you can follow it here: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=ti-ble-sdk

Sorry I can't pull request directly, because I don't have the environment you use to test this.
