JSR348-50: Clarify the meaning of the term "release" #48

Closed apastsya closed 7 years ago

apastsya commented 13 years ago

Jira issue originally created by user pcurran:

From Harold Ogle:

The term "release" is used in multiple places (see, for example, lines 51, 205, 210, 352, 515.) It's not always clear, particularly to those who are unfamiliar with the process, what this means.

Formally defining Release as "A Final Release or a Maintenance Release" should take care of most of these references. Others might need to be rephrased to refer to a transition from one JSR stage to another.

Comment created by pcurran:

After line 148 insert the following definition:

Release: A Final Release or a Maintenance Release

On line 51 change "release" to "Release"

On line 373 change "one release in advance" to "one JSR submission in advance"

On line 536 change "releases" to "Releases"

On line 584 change "release" to "Release"
