Jira issue originally created by user pcurran:

(From Scott Stark)

On lines 713-714 of the August 10 draft, change:

"No" votes must be accompanied by an explanation of the changes (if any) that would persuade the member to change the vote to "yes".

to:

"No" votes must be accompanied by references to the issue tracker items (if any) that if resolved differently would persuade the member to change the vote to "yes".

Comment created by pcurran:

And an additional suggestion, derived from this issue: [http://java.net/jira/browse/JSR348-62]

Insert a new item in the JSR Voting Rules section, after the current item #3:

  1. Any vote may be accompanied by comments. When comments include specific suggestions for change these should be logged in the issue-tracking mechanism to ensure that they are addressed.

Comment created by pcurran:

Reopening to suggest a consolidation of the two changes introduced earlier.

Comment created by pcurran:

Item #9 on lines 718-719 of the PR draft reads:

"No" votes must be accompanied by references to the issue tracker items (if any) that if resolved would persuade the member to change the vote to "yes".)

Please append this text to item #4 at line #709 (thereby deleting item #9)

Thanks...
