JCPNEXT4-55: Permit employed individuals to join as Full Members even if their employer is a Member #49

Closed apastsya closed 7 years ago

Jira issue originally created by user pcurran:

Permit employed individuals to join as Full Members even if their employer is a Member (so long as the employer will sign Employer Contribution Agreement for each such employee).

Change the Process Doc and the workflow diagram accordingly.

Comment created by pcurran:

In section 3.1.4 deleted "not a Full Member and" from the following text:

Employed individuals are eligible for Full Membership if their employer is not a Full Member and is willing to sign an Employer Contribution Agreement.

Reopening until the workflow diagram is updated.

Comment created by jpampuch:

This item is not addressed in the document, but my recollection is that the working group decided to only permit employed individuals to join as any kind of member if their employer does not. (Not that I agree with this, FWIW.) This can be closed.

No - we changed our minds (see the earlier comments). The Process Doc has been updated; we're simply waiting on an update to the workflow diagram from John Weir.

I'm marking this as resolved since the substantive question is indeed resolved.

I'll open a separate issue to update the Workflow document (which is seriously out of date).
