2 months ago After taking a look at the content, I'm struck by a couple things:
- Quality varies, and sometimes a track in FTA is already an SBD on phish.in, so no real quality improvement.
- Tracks are individual selections from individual shows. To include them we'd either need a special FTA section that doesn't fit into the normal show date framework, or we'd need to replace individual tracks. This could be jarring to the listener who expects a full show by the same taper.
I'm not sure the FTA releases fit into the vision of the site and they'll always be hosted on the Spreadsheet, so closing this for now.
Clarification on legality of using the LivePhish: From the Archive would be good. If it's legal, then we can replace existing AUDs with the SBDs.
Aug 2024 update: After poking around, it seems like it's unlikely legal action would be taken, a cease and desist at worst. Worth looking into at least.
