IDL code with ENVI #5

Hi hacky team I seriously need some help with IDL! I need to use it to do batch processing in ENVI. THe processing itself is fairly easy and I think I have the code for that part sorted. However, I have no idea what I'm doing with the basics of IDL and would really appreciate the help. I need to load an image file (a cloud mask) into IDL and perform a 'bandmath' function on it. Bandmath is a tool in ENVI. The catch is that I need to do this with about 30,000 images. Hopefully someone can help!

G'day, apologies for the delayed reply. We at HH don't have much experience w/ ENVI or IDL, but would be glad to try and lend a hand anyhow. If you'd like to drop by HH this week (Thursday the 13th from 2 - 4), we can have a look together.

PS: I've done a bit of googling and came up with these intro resources from Harris Geospatial about Batch Processing ENVI tasks via IDL, perhaps they will be useful.
