Video Issues receiving and transmitting H263-1998 #69

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.register the device
2.make a video call
3.enable video
4. capture DDMS output and wireshart

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

wireshark shows that video is negotiated with the remote. H263-1998 is
selected on 200 response to the invite. enable video from the menu after the
call is established. no video packets are sent to the remote.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 2.1 update1, trunk of imsdroid

Please provide any additional information below.

trace3 - device is in landscape mode. trace4 device is in portrait mode.
Preview is not visible in landscape mode. Preview is visible in portrait mode,
but video orientation is not correct. I believe it is counter clock-wise
rotated by 90degrees. videoout is a logcat trace from ddms.

Which device do you have? Are you using front camera?

Android2.1-update1. as I had the other issue with registration i dont know if
the original version would have the same issue. let me know how you would like
to continue or what debug info you will need

i still have not figured out why i don't see H263-1998 stream when the video is
negotiated as such.when I enable video i would expect H263-1998 packets to
appear in the trace. however, I don't see it. i enable video as soon as the
call is answered. please let me know if you see anything wrong

attached is a new trace file where i used the latest apk from accounts from
iptel.org. I also used X-lite 4.0 as all of them were tested network and
software. still i did not see h263 packets even though the conversation was
negotiated as such. what am i missing?

AFAIK "iptel.org" do not support two RTP channels at same time. You should use
"sip2sip.info" to test video. Off course the problem is not about the network
but caused by your camera. Your device uses Qualcomm drivers but there are many
errors in the log files.
Try to downgrade the video quality from "Medium/High" to "low", try again at
send me the log file using "Log collector" from the market.

Correction: "not using Qualcomm" instead of "uses Qualcomm".

i can understand there could be camera issues as this is a no-brand device. Can
you point out where do you believe are critical errors and how to debug. I have
seen error setting camera parameter in the internal log, but did not think it
was critical. What bothers me is that I see the preview fine, but i don't see
packets going out with video. I already tried your suggestion and it dd not
make a difference. I will do it one more time to collect the logs. I will also
try sip2sip to test the video as well.

Sorry for the delay. I was traveling and just came back. I wanted to try the
application on EVO and video is working. but i have noticed a couple of things.
first, when you hold evo vertically, the remote shows video at 90degree turn.
Also, scaling of the displayed image is not correct when in full screen mode in
the application. Please provide a few tips and I will try to fix it
