Possible integration with Buddypress social networking plugin?

Integrate to allow jobs to appear in BP activity streams and site members
to post / apply for jobs directly from the BP member profile area.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I won't schedule this for a version at the 
moment - I'm 
going to be re-evaluating the current Roadmap once 0.6 is released.

Great. I already use another jobs board at the moment, but I like the look of 
your
plugin and the direction in which it's going, not to mention your organisation /
planning!
I suspect I'll be using it on my main site before long.

Other suggestions:

* By having each person have a profile, and their application would be 
connected to their profile.
* Having one person recommend the other.
