7 years ago I forgot to mention that in my case the buttons are configured using the Novation template editor and at the moment they are set to midi CC with toggle but am happy to change that to Note and/or Momentary if that's better for the script.
Eventually what would be really cool as well would be if somehow the button could be used for 5 different settings for example:
off = setting 1 on red = setting 2 on yellow = setting 3 on green = setting 4 on orange = setting 5
so for instance you could control a multi position rotary or slide switch type virtual control to say select filter type by toggling through the colours.
Anyway I'm getting carried away now :)

Firstly many many thanks for the work you have done on the Launch Control XL script for Bitwig it works really well!
I have a feature request regarding the behaviour of the buttons when in User Template mode.
In Ableton when you map a button to a virtual on/off button on an instrument the controller reflects the state of that button by lighting up the led if the virtual button state is "on" and turning off the led if the button state is off. The buttons are yellow as are most of the virtual buttons on devices in Ableton.
Do you think that it's possible to implement this?
