Please make sure that you have configured the device correctly. It sounds like an authentication problem. Also log onto the website and look at the logging for the device. It should be throwing an error.
I removed the device and added it again with the log interface open and this time the device handler worked and I am able to successfully use it now to view and modify my humidity level. I added the nest-humidity device handler through the IDE interface. Then in the SmartThings app opened its properties to configure the device. After the device was configured it never showed anything other than 0% humidity even though my Nest is controlling a humidifier with a valid humidity level.
