wiicoverflow does not seam to initialize hard drive connection correctly #224

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Plug hard drive into PC
2. Plug hard drive into Wii
3. Load wiicoverflow

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
wiicoverflow should load but instead you get a black screen never anything
else.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
wiicoverflow rc6 installed in sd:/usbloader so that I can go straight to
wiicoverflow from USB Loader Channel

Please provide any additional information below.
If instead of going straight to wiicoverchannel after turning wii on or
pluging the hard drive into the usb port I go to usbloader 1.5 first, pick
usb hard drive, press A then press HOME then go to wii menu, then go to USB
Loader Channel (that loads wiicoverflow instead) wiicoverflow works. After
I play a game, upon exiting the game, wiicoverflow usually won't work again
until I have loaded and exited USB Loader 1.5. So, appearantly USB Loader
1.5 is doing something right that wiicoverflow is not doing right. Maybe
on load it should start by closing the usb hard drive connection (even if
it may already be open), then opening it. I'm guessing most if not all
games do not return control to wiicoverflow upon exit thus wiicoverflow
cannot close the usb connection thus, when wiicoverflow loads, it needs to
first try and close the usb connection before it tries to open it.

How can I edit my issue?, I spelled "seems" wrong in the title.

Also:
  Change
"(even if it may already be open)"

  To
"(even if it may already be closed)"

i bet its not a wiicoverflow issue.
what if you do the same thing without starting usb-loader 1.5 first ?
(try it 1 time from HBC and report if you got same issues)

Is there a Wii Cover Flow Channel that I can install?, it does appear that if I
always launch it from within HBC it does seem to always work, where as if I use
the
USB Loader channel it sometimes works.
