"Preference has unknown type char" warnings #149

Describe the bug Unknown preference type char

To Reproduce Open gContactSync and look at the Error Console

Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.statusBarText and name=extensions.gContactSync.statusBarText has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.myContactsName and name=extensions.gContactSync.myContactsName has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.lastVersionSuffix and name=extensions.gContactSync.lastVersionSuffix has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.Plugin and name=extensions.gContactSync.Plugin has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.notesHeight and name=extensions.gContactSync.notesHeight has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.statusBarText and name=extensions.gContactSync.statusBarText has unknown type char.
Preference with id=extensions.gContactSync.myContactsName and name=extensions.gContactSync.myContactsName has unknown type char.
