Thanks for you file structure - always good to have some other weird names
beside mine :)

But i'm sorry, i cannot reproduce your finding.
It works here.

After scanning, i see correctly S1/episode 1-4 listed, all associated with the
same iso file (check mediafiles tab)
After scrape & rename, i'll get a 24_S01E01_S01E02_S01E03_S01E04.ISO file (or
other correct format)

can you delete 24 from TMM and reimport?
please send me the logs after renaming the episode...

Hi There,

It seems I was a bit to fast...I looked in directory's that weren't deleted
I'm testing the 4 main scrapers (Tinymeediamanager, Mediacompanion, ember
and MediaCenterMaster)
The main purpose is of course that XBMC reads the info from the .nfo .info
or other files your program generates.
I noticed huge differences in the quantity after setting loos the programs
on the fake directory structure.

I like your program for it's simplicity not to many options...What IMHO can
be improved is a Action tab or plane or Horizontal window that Lists the
main actions
Scanning Metadata fetching Renaming Manual editing
               Best Match

               30 sec Window
               que unknow

When a action takes place you provided a neat transition bar in the lower
right corner, it took me a while to notice Maybe you should make it bigger ?
I noticed I have actor pictures to but where are they stored?

Anyway a very big thumbs up for your program, i wish I had your skills.

no bug - great :)

Well, yes, we spent quite a time to improve our "scanner".
Detecting all the weird names one could have, and to get a clean and searchable
title out of this mess.
Hope you like it :)
(Would be great if you could share your findings you have with the other tools,
compared to TMM :)

Yes, we already have some work done for a completely new GUI.
It could be a bit more sexier :D
Your suggestions have been noted...

Actors are not stored by default - only if you activate this in movie settings.
Else we just save the urls to DB/NFO

brgds

Thanks for your fast response.
It's a good program very good because of the simplicity or better the user
friendliness..

At my work I'm a Dalet administrator...maybe you've heard of Dalet...It's a
MediaAssetManagment (MAM) often used in the Broadcast industry..My point is
that it is so configurable that it is even to much for me..hence you loose
the user friendliness.
The normal user in Dalet however sees only what the administrator allows him

My point is that although all these Media scrapers are great I guess they
not everyday used...I hope so:-)..so a user should get away with it
intermediately that's what I like about your program.
The best scraper is only used for a first time or in the event of disaster
or major XBMC update..
Your program almost answer the question why would I use a offline
scraper...Yeah why would a user do this?
When all the info is created besides the media.file we don't need the
internet for scanning (great in rural territory) Everything STAYS the same
we recognize used fanart folder.jpg etc.

So a easy to use program which in 90% can be left at default settings,
still configurable where needed.

I think a action driven program would serve us users the best.
One have several key actions
choose sort media (Serie, Movie and Music)
importing the file structure
meta dating the file structure
exporting/saving the metadata ( is it for Frodo, earlier or next? Is it for
XBMC, Mediaportal or others. Are we able to choose only for 1 or 2 I have a
friend who uses Mediaportal :-)

So a separation regarding the database used. Is it for Series, Movies or
music? An Action driven workflow...try to guess why is the user using your
program and guide him in easy steps.
Where scraping outside xbmc so I guess we wan't as much information as
possible .actors should be by default on IMHO of course.
With a lot of data unattended running should be possible...then you have 3
possibility's the scraper is 100% sure, there's doubt and there's
unknown...First process the know, then pop-up or ques in temp database the
doubt and then manually of course the rest.
A going back undo or temporary que could be great for resolving misses

Then there's the issue of renaming...
Some of us use the database, I guess most of xbmc usrs uses the file
structure (everything is there while in database mode not) Imagine you copy
some movies from a friend to your nas it takes a while before they pop-up
in the database.
The standard renaming in your program is nice not to much bloat just the
necessary info (if its a h264 or xvid only SD HD is of interested for few
people furthermore in his case a SD xvid can be of better quality the a HD
h264 )
One thing that's almost impossible to tackle is the (year) behind a
filename...In my experience it should ONLY be done if a movie is a remake..
We can not force those 2 database websites to always, never or only in
remake use the (year) "The day the earth stood still" indeed here a scraper
should go for the 1951 one and not the one from 2008
The second issue with year is Loft a Belgian movie released in 2008 and
will be released in 2014 in the states....the voluntary moviedb.or
participant will sometimes place the movie in 2008 or 2014 this is a clear
case where the originally year should be taken..but sometimes IMDB and
MovieDB don't agree with the year....renaming to the IMDB will then result
in a movie not found by xbmc scraper.

A lot of info for a sunday.

Trouble shooting your program..

What to do with a iso containing 4 episodes (24_S01E01_1200 A.M.-100
A.M._S01E02_100 A.M.-200 A.M._S01E03_200 A.M.-300 A.M._S01E04_300 A.M.-400
A.M.) just readable but what about "Desperate Housewives_S01E17_There Won't
Be Trumpets_S01E18_Children Will Listen_S01E19_Live Alone And Like It
(a.k.a. An Unexpected Song)_S01E20_Fear No More.iso"?
Furthemore the scraper of XBMC will scan the different episodes...but what
happens when I click on episode S01E20 indeed the iso or DVD is started..A
warning in the naming? DISC1 ?

Anyway I have to go

Keep up the good work......
Nobody got a mail like this so take that as a compliment
