@jdolitsky - this is your call. I like to use MIT's 3 clause license on my own projects, but this is your baby, I'll go with whatever you choose...

My bad, the 3 clause BSD license, not the MIT one, is what I use. And it's pretty bloody permissive :) Basically you can do anything with it, including using it for commercial purposes. The three clause version contains an extra bit that says you can't use the names of the authors when promoting products that use the code, which I like because personally I don't want to have my name used anywhere.
