Support non-quadratic images #12

So far only quadratic images are supported for reading as it seems. At least the code crashes without any message. Do something about that

Maybe that is actually supported, another error with alpha channel occured and I may have misinterpreted that. Needs to be checked.

Checked it, they were actually supported all along
