braid.plot is long overdue for improvements. Here's an initial todo list:

Change color/style/thickness of lines. Could do this by just passing varargin and let the user choose standard plot options.
But it would be nice to be able to specify these on a strand-by-strand basis. This last might require some coding, since it is not currently written to follow strands.

I did a very simple implementation above. Still no per-line coloring as that would be a lot of work (?). Better save it for later.
