In order to avoid messy files and ugly diffs:

• soft tabs (no tab)
• 2 spaces interpreted as a tab
• UTF-8 encoding

I guess it's okay for you. please confirm by closing ticket, or propose other settings...

soft tab: ok, utf-8: ok, but sometimes I use 2 spaces and sometimes 4, the most important is to respect the existing settings of the file...
