It's strange, the address I used for the local MetaMask plugin is like this:

path.join('.', 'assets/metamask-chrome-11.11.1')

but it seems there's a problem parsing the path on your machine, causing it to be inaccessible. Please provide complete machine information and instructions on how to use it.
