@benbpyle when you come to test this one, be aware that I've bumped all the node packages up to the latest version. So you might need to reinstall the deps.

I made some updates .. but I'm just going to go ahead and merge. We can make more tweaks to it as we go.

I'm going to go ahead and put the web api in the templates directory and issue another PR.
