[x] modals don't really work for small screens
[x] footer looks like crap
[x] ACE is very unfriendly on iOS: select, copy/paste, and cursor insertion don't work

Modals have been eliminated with the new message feature, so that's no longer an issue.

Can't remember what the footer looked like, so crossing that off as well.

The investigation into CodeMirror is going well; it's much better on mobile than Ace. Scrolling actually works, as does cursor insertion (mostlly), but select and copy/paste are still not so good. This is probably as good as it gets for JS text editing on a touch device, though.

So, I investigated CodeMirror—got pretty far, too—but ultimately, it just didn't work. ACE has better features and an easier API. Plus, Textile.

Found some decent workarounds for scrolling, but cursor insertion and copy/paste are still weird.
