It is a valid flaw, but email validation is not in the scope of this course and it is uncommon for university students to have such complex characters, but we allowed for some flexibility by allowing certain common characters in the email.

Based on IETF standards, emails should be allowed to contain special symbols such as ?, /, &, *, ^ etc. However, the app does not allow these.
