"INDEXes" looks a bit strange when the two fonts are used, perhaps you could just opt for the non-code markdown font, which I believe can convey the same meaning, and looks more natural.

It was a stylistic choice so we can emphasize INDEX as a parameter, but we will take your suggestion into consideration.
