ESP8266/Arduino UNO clone - unable to reset #533

Hi;

I have finally gotten the esp-link installed onto the ESP8266 part; however, I am not able to reset the micro controller. Whenever I connect the esp 'GPIO' pin to the 'reset' of the uno; I only get an error in the console after I click 'reset uc' - error resetting uc.

Any/all help appreciated!
