if your having trouble flashing (not an issue)

I was having trouble flashing an AliExpress esp8266 but I have found the solution: Downlaod the NodeMCU Flasher link direct download 64bit direct download 32bit

When you open it, goto the advance tab set the flash size to 1MByte (or what your ESP is) then in the config tab I set

• boot_v1.7.bin to 0x00000
• user1.bin to 0x1000
• esp_init_data_default.bin to 0xFC000
• blank.bin to 0xFE000 (make sure you enable the check boxes)

Once your done go to the Operation tab select your serial port then press flash.
