Upgrade to make it work with PHP7.x #6

PHP7 depricated quite some things which were normal in PHP4, but because it's more and more difficult to have a server which runs PHP5 I made those changes to be able to keep running my Jlog instances. Once this is merged I will tag it with a new version number 1.4.0 most probably. Then I'll be able to upgrade all my instances and if someone out there still uses it they will be able to do that too.

This is not a beautiful rewrite, it's more a set of hacks to be able to keep it running.
